1995 clock
I'm looking for owners of 1995 Pros. I want to know if the clock pictured is the factory one. I got the car and it was already screwed up. I tried some glue but no doing. I've tried EVERYTHING and I've come to the conclusion that the clock pictured isn't the one for my car. I saw a pic that stef_nz sent and it sure looks like it but when I try attaching it, it won't go. the legs on the clock are tilted forward and another backward but the legs where they should screw into are flat (straight) I give up. Can someone help?
P.S. Ignore the arrows, they have to do with the defroster I'm in process of fixing http://pollito14.web1000.com/protege/defrosterclock.jpg |
I don't know what it looks like, but heres a clock out of a stock one.

My 95 pro lx didnt come with that clock stock. Hmmm.... maybe they put different clocks in after a certain period of time. Who knows?

Neither did my 95 ES - it had the hour and minute buttons on one side and a reset button on the other, with a smaller display area than that one appears to have.
Don't still have the car to put in a picture, sorry. |

The way that worked with Mazda is that , If you got a protege with a radio that displayed time , then you would not get a clock , but if your got a radio (from the factory) that did not display time then you would have the clock , that is the reason why some of you have clocks and some of you don't ,... If you check in your manual it will also tell you the same thing

Well atleast I know now that the clock is the same one. But what IS strange to me is that the legs on the clock are angled two different ways and it would make the mounting of the clock practically impossible without the dash having the same angles. Can anyone check that out for me? Thankx
PS Mine has the hour and minute buttons on the left side and the reset button on the right side. |

Well it turned out that the clock that I had since I bought the car from someone else was a completely different clock to the one made for my car so it's all fixed up :D
