V6 engine

Has anyone ever had the idea of dropping a MX-3 V6 engine in a Pro? If they can fit in the MX-3 why not a Protegé?

I don't think it would be worth it for 8 hp.

only 8 hp more? 2 cylinders more and it only has 8hp more? how can that be? I'm not calling you a liar. I'm just very surprised

Yeah, my engine, or our engines rather are rated at 122hp the MX-3 v-6 is rated at 130hp. If there were an abundance of performance parts then yeah it'd be a great mod, probably worth the money if it weren't incredibly expensive to do. Now, I don't know how much it would be but I'd expect it to be fairly pricey. But with lots of performance parts then maybe it would be.

well, the 1.8V6 would have more torque wouldnt it??

and wouldnt that be a difficult swap to do?

or would it be easy if u found a scrap V6 mx3

and wouldnt the v6 be heavier, throwing off the balance more than it already is?

Possibly, but since it has the same dimensions as the 2.5 v6 which has been deemed too big for the second gen engine bay it might not work without alot of cutting. A scrap MX-3 v6?? I don't remember if they were V6 models or not but I remember going to Miller's auto Recycling in Fort Erie this summer and there were probably a dozen of them in there. I might look for some seats from one next year.

so the 2.5V6's dont fit in the proteges???

i know a guy with a 1st gen 323 that has it in his car, and i saw it so i know hes not faking it

his car cant be much bigger than mine if that

maybe the car has a structural difference?

can u shed some light on this Pseudoreality???
u seem to kno lots

thanks
