Sensors On Intake

Hey Guys, I have a 1995 Protege 1.5 l. When i first installed the RActive intake on my car last year, I had two sensors. One is the Air Mass Flow Sensor I think. And there's another sensor attached to it but I never had it atttached. I'm not sure what that could be. Would anyone know? Thanks alot

I believe it's the intake air temperature sensor.

Will that throw off acceleration? or power or anything? For the past year, i never had it connected and never bothered to really care. But i'm going to washington dc/maryland on August 1-8 and i want to make sure everythign is goign to be right. And I also have no check engine light tho

Air temp sensor is important while the car is warming up, because the ECU needs to know the temperature of the incoming air in order to bring to engine to required RPM level. However, once the engine is warmed up it is still in use, but all it is doing is providing ECU the same (constant) temperature. Therefore, unless you are traveling between different climate zones, you should be just fine.
