I just dropped the 1.8 BP in today ,, or just now .. I am not nearly finished though . I bolted down all the mounts and what not .. Oil cooler is bolted on . just have to connect some antifreeze stuff.. oh and uhhh I am waiting for the 1.8 harness to arrive. as I really need it ...
ok guys I am tired , I worked a 1x9:30 then 12x8am and then came home like 9am and started putting the motor in and bolting it up ... I am going to sleep know as I have to be at work at 12 for another shift..
man I am getting a Large Brown Stew Chicken before I go into work tonight .... :eek:

I have to really say thanks to all the guys who pushed me on to keep my car and do the swap .. All of you protege guys are so damn amazing ..

Hey kansei.. thanks for the tip on fixing the VICS solenoid. I am going to try and get it fixed tonight. I have a few more things to do. I need to tighten the rear mount. Connect up the harness for the altenator and starter. Pull the 1.5 harness once the 1.8 harness gets here. Plus purchase fluids and so forth and I am going to do a engine flush on the car .. plus get 2 new axles , while the old ones are out. change front brake pads, while wheels are off.
I am just trying to take my time and get everything that needs to be done, done...

Kris ,,, your the frigin BEST ... I will take a trip up there to Canada soon and we can meet up .. My girl has been saying she want's to go to Canada ... So maybe I will bring her up there soon.. If I keep her around ..

Yeah midnight, the only thing that kind of hampers me is financial .. It is not that I don't have the money, but I am trying to put back a lot of the money that I have spent in the bank. This means that certain things I kinda have to slow down with doing,, and I have to put my priorities 1st and get them taken care off. I am also not trying to rush things, because you know what happens when you rush.

On another note, I have been speaking to Kansei from time to time and we have been discussing, the pistons that he has and some other things that mazda offers..
In the future once money permits, I am going to rebuild the motor, with newer pistons-- ported head and some other goodies..
but for now -- I am just gonna chill out. I have a lot of research to do because I was not always into the engine tunning and so forth of cars, but got into it and I realize something new everyday...

But a note on the swap...

Getting the motor in the car is not that bad. one it is in, and the lift has the motor in the air all you have to do is catch all of the bolts to the mounts on the driver and passenger side-- and you are ok..
I still need to change my passenger mount though.. I am thinking the mazdaspeed one ???

yeah it is nice up there. I still remeber last time I was up there for the Can-AM meet. it was a cool meet. and I got to see Niagra Falls. Canada is so different.. I think what gets me out there the most is the exchange rate.
But I will definetly let you know, hopefully by time I decide to come out there I would have the turbo installed.. maybe make a 9 hour trip a 7 hour trip
