Exhaust question

OK I have a intake & i'm planning to change the piping on my exaust to 2inchs. My question is do our cars have catalitic converters? and should i keep mines or take it off? Where I live we have no restrictions & the engine i have is a B6 1.6L.

If there are no emissions restrictions in T&T, then you can definately run your 2" piping all the way with out a catalytic converter. One thing I do recommend to keep/install is the resonator. Other then that, you should be fine.

no there are no emissions restrictions here. What is the resonator & where is it located? what does it do? I'm kind of new to all of this stuff.

Resonator usually located towards the rear of the car, before the muffler, and its main job is too stop the resonance of exhaust fumes as they travel through. If you are going get this done at an exhaust shop, they know what it is.
