exhaust for 1.5L

what's a good exhaust setup for a 1.5L? i was thinking of getting an arospeed or bosal muffler and having a local shop bend new tubing and install new cats. any 2nd gen owners with the 1.5L hoss of a motor  install new exhaust, which inlet size did you get?

I run a custum 1 7/8 Header Collector strait to a 2 1/4 pipe all the way to a Dynomax Muffler. Fuk a cat just cut them off. Unless you from cali but then your prob gay and you shouldnt be working on cars anyway.

I have cat-back exhaust with 2 1/4" pipe all the way back, knocked 1 cat off, and put an XSS performance muffler on.

2 1/4 is almost too big for a 1.8l. I would run no bigger than 2'' on a 1.5l.
Cutting off your cats is illegal. O2 sensor emulators should be too. They work even when there is a problem with your engine that would otherwise be detected by a functional cat and O2 sensor.

Well, if it helps, I still have the main cat on.... so ya, that and I am sure that my 1.5L with its 1 huge cat still on isnt gonna emit alot of polution... but ya, it still is probably against the law. (had 2 cats, took the lil guy off) Another reason I kept the main cat, is because when my dad and I were doing it, he told me he thinks exhaust sounds better with a cat, rather than without, just fyi...
