if you find one, let me know, i toasted the stock clutch 15,000 miles after buying the car (2 years ago, the previous owner must have ride the pressure plate to Florida or something cus it was so worn it wouldn't even start griping until the last 2 inches of play.)

I then replaced with a oem clutch kit I won on ebay for 130 bucks. Excellent deal, installed like a charm and all the components (bearing, pressure place, clutch disc, exc) were identical to what I removed.

Problem is 25,000 miles into that and the play is returning. I tried adjusting it but adjustments to the pressure plate just make the disc slip. Conclusion, Mazda makes a crappy pressure plate. I've confirmed this by driving a 3rd gen (mines a 2nd) with the same problem, lots of play and no grab in the middle 3 inches of release.

If you doubt me, go drive an old Camry or something and feel how the clutch is practically locked after lifting your foot an inch or two from a floored clutch. Don't try a Honda anything, all their clutches pre-93ish (although they have good life) are in no way high performance and have lots of uncomfortable problems such as slippage, lots of play and a crazy shifter-cable link they use to 'quiet' down noise in the interior. If only they knew people were ganna throw cherrybombs on their cars anyway. I don't know why people love old honda's so much. I've owned one, and the only Honda product I'll ever buy again is a Bike or an ATX :)
