Bigger Airflow Meter?
Ok yall, I read someting about putting an Airflow Meter from a toyota supra non-turbo is a direct fit for us senond gens, but i don't know if it needs to be recalibrated or not...
Interesting Fact : - In our toying with the MAS we found out two things 1 it is basically a toyota part (the MAS) and Second it is interchangeable with the 93-98 Supra MAS, as in it plugs right in.. This would increase the air flow in a huge amount.... Something to think about. This was copied from an article in "Intake Buildup" in the Tip's section at Protegetech.com sorry, it wont let me put in a link... |
would it give a bad code to the ecu ?
I dunno, i didn't do this, i just read it and wondered if ne1 tried it.
i AM GOING TO TRY IT I WILL LET YOU KNOW WHAT HAPPENS
ok, let me know, you will most defenitly have to calibrate the MAS, i dunno how though.
yea thats cool I will play with it and see what I can get out of it , right now I am trying to find and MAF sensor in EBAY

Good Luck

A freind of mine has (fogive me for saying) a 94 camero to wich he ported and polished the mas but aparently it takes a couple of 10ths off the et maby it will work for us. If you want i can get instructions.
YEA that will be great let me know if you can get them
what is the diameter of that MAS? it would be nice to have a 3 inch MAS to fit with larger intakes.
i am not sure how big is the diamter , but I know that Venom makes a high flow air mas sensor . That is probably what I will get after I order my INJECTORS
I checked those out before, look nice but rather pricy, that is several hundred dollars i would rather save to spend on putting in a new engine.
that is true !
