Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator...

Hey, i was wondering if anyone would be able to answer my question...

now i know putting an adjustable fpr on a car with a maf is useless, but say other work was done to it and it could benefit from it...

say.... cams ;)

now, what exactly does it do?
does it just raise overall fuel pressure?
like, will my mixture be richer all the time?
like, at part throttle applications and at full throttle applications?
cause the factory ecu goes back to preset values at full throttle, so would turning up the fuel pressure even make a difference at full throttle??

and for a mod like cams, would i even have to worry about enrichment because my car does have a maf....

so if i got my cam regrinds, and my intake manilfold ported and polished...
and the scan tool says that my car is running a little more on the lean side...

i could up the pressure a tad and richen my overall mixture??

i guess this is kind of an ancient and very broad way to richen the mixture, but do u think it would work?

or would i even need to go that far, cause wouldnt my maf pick up on the more volume of air coming in, and increase the fuel volume proportionally??

awesome man
thanks a lot

if i still decide to go thru with the cams and IM, it will be when my timing belt needs to be replaced, which should happen later this year....

if and when i get it, i will also be getting the adjustable cam gear from corksport and i am gonna have the car put on a dyno so the FPR could be adjusted under load, and the tech would be able to find the best timing for optimum performance....

i just hope they dont laugh at my sub 100hp output :)
