transmission ?'s with 1.8
 

i have a 94 323 auto and was wanting to put in a 1.8 dohc from a protoge. my ? is since i have an automatic does the engine from the protoge have to be an auto to. also i just bought an maf sensor adaptor and plan to put on a cone filter. should i dissconect my battery, if so which terminal and how long. thanx.
