Suggestions?

My '94 with about 98,000 miles has been idling rough and cutting off at low revs for about 5,000 miles now and I'm running out of ideas. I'd heard of the coolant sensor going bad on it and making the car run like sh!t on 1st gen pros with about as many miles as mine so while I was getting my new timing belt installed I had the dealer put on a new sensor. When I talked to them about it they were like "Which one?" Apparently there's 3 coolant sensors: one that goes to the gauge, one that's on the radiator, and one that goes to the ECU. Logically, I figured if the sensor was bad it was the one for the ECU, but apparently not because my car runs as roughly as it did before. Did I waste $45 and have them put on the wrong sensor or what? I've tried putting fuel system cleaner through it to see if that would help but that does nothing. I put new plugs and wires on it about 2,500 miles ago too. If anyone has any other ideas on what my gremlin could be please post. I'm getting tired of chasing this prob.

I'll see if I can get to my mecanic 2morrow to confirm, but I'm 90% sure it's the one at the rad. Sorry dude, you shoulda asked me... I think it has something to do with its positionning, it get too hot and goes bad... I'll make sure, but I think that's the one... Sux that they charged you 45U$... Mine was 50$CAN... that's like 25$CAN cheaper... I'll get back 2U

Any word?

Hey Bizbob, what'd your mechanic have to say? Mine's clueless. He suggested a diagnostic check on the car to see if they could pinpoint the prob. But that costs $55USD! Just to find the problem, that's before they fix it! F#$%ing rip-off dealership mechanics!!! Whatever...
