Springs?
Will Precedia springs for the MX3 V6 fit our first gens? These will just have a higher spring rate correct? If I attempt to install Precedia's on my 1st gen will I need to make any modifications?

What type of problems are created due to the lack of spring travel? Clearance???:dunno: Jesse when you mention the springs are a bit shorter are you refering to the free length? What are you comparing the length to, stock springs or after market?:confused: Davard are your MX3 springs "bouncier" than after market pro springs due to the spring rate?:cool:

say you're going fairly fast, and go over a hill. when you reach the crest of the hill, your suspension will go down, and then the springs may come free from the spring housing. think about it, if that happens, and say the spring happens to rotate, when your car comes down, BAM damage up ass on those struts. course, you could always drive slow over hills or speed bumps. (course I have a diffcult time restraining myself from speeding up when I see a rising hill that has a slope on the other side. :D )

The also tend to lower the car more than Protege springs do, meaning you run into suspension travel issues....at least possibly. but if the mx3 springs are stiffer, why would the struts go to the bumpstops? simply because they're so much shorter than stock? I'd figure the stiffness would cancel out the springs being shorter in length? |
