Removing Trunk Emblems?

Any of you guys know how to remove the trunk emblems on a first gen pro? My MAZDA emblem is no longer chrome, it's a nasty brown color, and I want to go to the junkyard and pick up a shiny one. Question is, how do I get this thing off without tearing up paint, and making dents and nicks? I thought I remembered hearing something about fishing line once, but not sure. When I get to the junkyard I'll probably just tear that one off, but I don't want to hurt my pro,:D Also, I was thinking about taking off the ugly square Protege emblem with the cursive lettering, and putting on one of the new protege emblems with the slanted, diagonal lettering. (Like the new 2002 model has)....

Figured it out on my own. These things aren't glued on or anything. They just snap on with three little prongs. Like a glorified Lego if you will. Just take a pretty small flathead screwdriver, and pop them right off. Nothing to it. There will be three holes left over that you'll have to fill, sand and paint though...
