Protege Emblem

ive got a 91 dx and i was wondering if it is posible to remove the emblems (Protege/Mazda) on the back of the car without messing up the paint.

well the emblems are held on via pressure fit. there are actually holes on yout trunk lid. you can pry them off wiht a screw driver i suggest you wrap the driver with electrical tape.

I was actually wanting to change my emblems (IE the front grill emblem) to the newer mazda logo...wonder how hard that would be.

no way man, at least not for me. proud to have the old school badges. plus i bet mazda changes their logo soon anyway, always do. but hey whatever u think. i can tell you that the stupid grill on a first gen is no fun. post some pics if u do it....im interested.

actually, if you lift your trunk lid, there's small round holes directly underneath the emblems. if you stick a screwdriver under them, you'll hit a little tab that pops the emblems right off, you'll still be left with some little holes, bu tthat's nothing that a little bondo can't fix. I did it , and it looks great!!
good luck
