Pacesetter

Yes, i have the 90 protege LX and i want it to sound really loud.. and i love the sound of the Apex N1 so i was wondering if i would be better off buyin the pacesetter then cuttin that off and attachign the N1 or having a muffler shop do the piping for me.. also .. better sound 2" or 2.5" thanks..

there's mixed feelings about the pacesetter exhaust. check this THREAD to find out some more info. :D btw, 2.5" piping is a tad too big. 2.25" would most likely be better.

If all you want is a loud exhaust just remove the muffler, that should do it for you. If you want a nice tone and added performance get the pacesetter with the apexi n1. Thats what I would do. Remember a LOUD exhaust does not make your car fast, just loud. Just my .02:)

ah... fresh topic i just delt with myself, i chopped off my muffler and had a flowmaster installed, works well and is definately loud and healthy sounding... and for the most part can be done under $200 including price of muffler, but depends on the muffler you get, know what i mean? if you just want the sound, just do the muffler, if you want the power, find a nice mandrel bent 2.25 inch cat-back system... that seems to be a mild concensus around these parts
