Overheating after rad & thermo replace - Do I need to bleed cooling system?

I replaced the radiator and thermostat in my 92 DX and I'm still having overheating problems. Someone suggested that I try bleeding my cooling system but I'm not sure what is involved here.

I should also note that the fan seems to run fine and I do not seem to get hot air through the vents when the car is overheating. Also, the car only seems to overheat when the car is moving and cools down when I stop and idle for a while. If I just idle it without driving, it doesn't seem to overheat either.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

hmm, I'm a little unfamiliar wit hthe first gen engines but I know that when I tap into my coolant neck on my 3rd gen I'm burping the system aftrwards. Air posckets in your cooling system will KILL your motor.

How do you "burp" the system? I've never had to do this before.
