need advice.

heres the story. my 1st gen lx is in a bad, really bad shape. she is full of dents, paint faded....mechanical parts are ok, exhaust system is full of holes which acctually gives me a nice sound;) engine, well the engine, almost 200 000 km, when i floor iz in neutral she sputters and then goes up, everything on the engine is 13 years old, i didnt change the spark plug cabels or anything. i also got some minor valve trouble. paint is faded cause it is not original, my dad totaled it when she was only a month old, we fixed it, but the piant was some shitty quality so i got off. she is smashed from all sides so here is my plan: repainting it and gettin new body parts would cost something about 2500 euros, and the car doesnt worth that much. 1.6 to 1.8 engine swap would also be nice. i love the car so much that i cant even imagine lettin it go. so why not? well, this is a situation. i live in a shitty country (things are improving but we are far behind you guys) so cash reserves are limited, im 16, so i dont make any money. my parents dont think that it is smart to put so much cash in the that car. why not buy the new car and let the pro go? well, at the moment there is no cash, its time to go to sea, my scollarship is pretty high. we could find some cash for the cheapest protege 5 (1.3 75hp). 1st gen aint goin nowere, only across my dead body, i want to fix her up and drive her as soon as i turn 18 (im 17 now). so she definitly needs work and i have no cash.she is rare here so gettin parts is difficulty. im looking for some parts on a junkyard. maybe i could even get the 18.sohc but i have to do the swap myself and i dont think that i can do it and i also dont know what kind of reaction that would cause on my dad, which says that i now shit about that car and that he is sure that engine from new proteges fits our pro:mach: he is the only reason for us not owning a new pro. he just doesnet want to buy a new car, he has his skoda which is owned by the company in which he works, so he doesnet give a fuck! im so mad at him, how can he be so selfish! so thats my life, going around junkyards and looking for parts, crying over my pro...:( :( sorry for this but i think that only you guys will understand me...
please dont ask me for the purpose of this tread

how bout doing a kl-ze swap in there. i'm not sure if the mx6 was offered in europe or not.

2800 euro's sounds like a lot of money for an engine swap.
