little help

i was wondering how bizob did his block swap.

1) how hard is it?
2)what modifications did he do to get the head to fit?
3)does it bolt up to the lx trans.?
4)what all do you ned for this swap?

um, while bob has the bigger pistons, u have i believe the beefier block...he started with either a dx or an se...u have an lx...just get higher comp pistons, rings etc before u start ripping shit out...better for the car

I believe he swapped for a DOHC. If so, then you have what he has...

here's the thing. he said that hes using the sohc block and the dohc head. and if i read it right in the forum faq then the sohc engine has more torque. so that would be like(forgive me for using the "h" name) using the lx integra block with the v-tec head. more torque. so wouldnt it be better to use the sohc head. if not what are some piston sugestions? i want a n/a ride(total sleeper) what about the pistons from a miata???? does anybody know what year miata pistons would fit my block and raise compression or a performance website that i can find high comp. piston sets for my block?

SOHC is 111ft-lbs, DOHC is 114ft-lbs.

The blocks for both are the same. The DOHC head is better...

ok. does anybody know where i can get higher comp. pistons or are the miata pistons higher?

Liquid_Ag August-6th-2003 07:51 PM

Liquid_Ag August-6th-2003 09:44 PM
