hahha, I come from the Ford camp and that exact same "metering device" was used on the earlier 2.3L and such and they were were called VAN's....kinda the way mazda calls their computer an ECU, GM a PCM, etc....

I dunno, round these parts they're Vane Airflow meters. :)
