Idle rpm's....somewhat stalling too..

For a few days now when I have started my car and had it in neutral, the car is at about 1600-2000 RPM's. Now that is very high and I can hear the engine is louder. Usually when I start up it is at around 500 and never higher than 1000 RPM's. Is this something to worry about?

Now the next problem that I have is that when I am braking and lowering my gears, the RPM gauge goes down to about 200 and the car sounds like it is going to stall out. Sometimes it does it really bad and the oil gauge light goes on for a second. I checked the oil and it was a bit low for some reason, so I added about 4 oz's. Now it doesn't happen as much, although it still does. Anything about this?

Thanks.

when you start it and it is cold, it has to be a little above 1000rpm because the chocke system. mine is at 1500 when cold, when she gets warm it is around 700rpm. you should check that little "screw" on throtlle body under the rubber thing that protects it. im not sure about this...
