anyway i just moved my 93 lx and i think i might have left the keys in the car im not sure, all i know is i dont have the keys. was wondering if the dealer still has a master for a 93. or if anyone knows any other creative way of getting into my car without breaking the window.... either way i might need new keys for the ride but i hate to call a locksmith.. i should have just made a spare, oh well whatever i do this will probably be a expensive spare...:mad: :mad: :mad:

Ask the dealer. My father had a dealer key that opened most mazdas . We used it as the main key for are 323 after we lost the originals ..Or break the window.. or call AAA...Jon

yea but how long ago was that?? dont they stop having those master keys after a few years? has this happened to anyone out there???

He stopped working there in 95 ... thats true i will go try the key on my 93 protege ...Jon

help a protege brother out. dude you have a 93 lx, if it works on yours it will prob. work on mine. because it's a master key. dude if it works, i will mail you a few bucks to make me a copy please!! i hate going to the dealer for anything... :) :)

ITZKCATZ 666 ISSUE
 

Itzkcatz, i noticed something unusual about your posts, you replied twice to this post, but yet u got stuck at 666 ,and of all numbers to get stuck at. we'll see after you reply to this if your still at the dreaded number 666. very unusual

if you give the dealer the VIN# they should be able to cut a key for you.

Get a wire coat hanger, leave the hook on the bottom and fish around and try to pull up the metal arm that connects the switch on the door to the lock. It's not very hard. Though I've looked at the door with the door panel off so it's a lot easier to visualize after seeing it that way.

I lost the key to my pro at one time and it was the only copy I had. Luckly my car wasn't locked but the windows were down:( . I just called AAA and they sent out a locksmith. Unfortunatly because the windows were down he couldn't get to the locks to take one out and make me a key. So we had to tear apart the dash colum and pull out the ignition and he just used the key blank to turn on the car. That was a hassle. But in the end I got 2 new keys. AAA rocks.

I've opened a cardoor with a slim jim before when a friend of my locked her keys in the car. Luckily my friend had one in his car for some reason, it didn't take me too long to pop it open. I dunnof if I'd try a coathanger, they seem a bit bulky, you could ruin the weatherstripping around the window.

I'ved used a coat hanger MANY times. You just have to be carful when you slide the thick part (where the wire is twisted together) through the weather strippping.

Its not to hard i think me and goldpro perfected breaking into a colt vista ( like 10 seconds or something lol) just be carefull of the weather stripping ...Jon

call around to a junk yard to see if they have a key for your particular car the dealer is going to want the production date

Yeah, I actually untwisted that...I was quite surprised that I got the door open, actually. And my weather stripping is worn down anyway, that may have made a difference.

jUST STICK THE COAT HNGER BETWEEN THE window and the door.
On mine, A friend of mine broke into it with a slim jim, it was long, thin, if you hold it up it looks like an "L" shape the bottom of the "L" was about an inch or so long, and at the end of that it had a little hook.
Put that between the window and the oute door panel and turn it so the "L" part is facing inside the car, and the move it towards the lock latch thingy. Assuming your locks are the kind with the button thingy, that pops up at the top of the door panel and is near the back of the door.
That worked on my second gen.
