how do I kill it!
 

please help me/us...
my Gf has a 94 pro lx...with those lame ass autoseatbeltbullshit (yes i meant that as one word)...how do you kill the chime? It goes off whether you're belted in or not..it SO damn annoying....is there a fuse or do I just start yanking wires (lol im kidding).... :thumbs do

Easy, take off the cover for your e-brake, you'll see the two spools for the shoulder belts.

there's a four-wire plug that connects to the seatbelt reels. Unplug it, then jump the wires... i'm going to go take a pic of mine.

Ive got that same problem except mine only does it every once in a while....

Better yet make friends with a Canadian and have them source you some real seatbelts out of Canadian protege.

Haha... it only does it once and a while now... until that little sensor wears down and it never quits going off! :tit:

Fix it now, it's a shitty design from the factory and it's not worth buying new reels from the stealership... just hotwire them like in the pics above. You can buy speakerwire by the foot at Home Depot/Lowes, and a pack of spade connectors for $1.50.

Also thanks from me. Mine buzzes when I move forward and then back, taking pressure off the belt. The sensor thinks that the belt is loose. It looks like an easy fix.

A long time ago a fiend wondered why the seatbelt "bitcher" never broke so that it wouldn't buzz when you didn't put on your belt. It looks like the opposite happens to our cars.

And here i have been driving with a knot tied into my seatbelt to keep it from buzzing, for the last six years.
