High Idle all the sudden

Hello all... I hope i can be descriptive enough... I have a 93 Protege SOHC and all the sudden I have a high Idle problem. I notice that when I start my car its around 2250 or so and when it warms up it stays around 1800-2000. I checked my throttle cable and its fine. I can't force the throttle any further shut. I can't figure out why it idles so high all the sudden. Seems to run fine and I don't have any other types of problems to note. Its almost like the throttle is stuck at a higher spot but as I said I can't close the throttle any further. Throttle cable seems fine its not to tight to pull the throttle any at stand still.

Anyone have any ideas?

Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

IAC valve sticking , it's coolant fed and it gums up with gel like coolant , you can try to tap it (not to hard ) to see if your idle returns to normal , Also ck the coolant hoses (2 of them , in and out of the valve) for getting hot , indicating the coolant is going through the valve , and is not blocked .
