Heat

For some reason, my heating in my car works, but it takes for fucking ever to warm up. (15-20 mins). It should be warm in 5. What is up?!?! Thermostat? Heating coil? I have heard a lot about radiators for these cars going out at about 100000 miles- this has about 120000. Maybe its the radiator? Help...

Check to see if your cooling fan is running constantly (electrical problem). If not , could be the thermostat. If the fan keeps running then pull out the relay (small black one in the fuse box)..warm it up and see what the temp does.

I have the opposite problem... my car gets warm quick but the heat takes forever to work well!

It's not your radiator, if it was, your car would be overheating or leaking.

I think my car cools too well. I have to keep the revs over 3000 in order for the heat to come up, and when it does, it's sort of luke warm, not really hot like I'd like it to be. I like the heat to blast and make me feel like I'm in a furnace. I have a 45 minute commute and the heat never gets going very well the whole time when the temps are below 40 ºF.

I'm going to try a new thermostat. Is the dealer the only place for a two-stage thermostat like the stock one? What sort of luck have you people had with off-the-shelf thermostats like Robert Shaw and Stant?

they're ok, but not as good as the OEM. Seems like I get less heat/less flow.
