headlights

Will the headlights from a 93 EGT fit our cars good or are they diff.

limpgtx May-30th-2003 11:57 AM

actually they will bolt up i believe, just the grill wont fit in. i think the mazda grilles are longer than the escort ones.

spooki May-30th-2003 01:31 PM

before i sold my escort, i parked it next to my pro to look at the differance.
limpgtx is right they will bolt in, but the lights on the escort has a angle where they meet the grill. and there about 1/4 inch taller.if you look at your pro's lights, thers a peice under your light, that you need to trim. (kinda hard to explane). but you would have to us the escort grill.
the escort gt grill would look cool with a mazda emblem on it.

oooo yea
go to the feoa site , some of those guys have put in bmw lights . they look bad ass. but they say, to get them to fit the lines of the car, the light isnt aimed right. maybe it will work on a pro.

On the feoa site, do a search. One of the gurus over there had his scort conversion. After seeing that, I am gonna do the same ony my 323. Just need the pro hood and grille since the 323's hood is slightly different.

That is the link to a page with the pic of the conversion on the scort. It is like the 3rd post and its in the guru's message at the bottom.

Here is a pic of it that gro posted. I had to search for a while to find them. Hope this helps!

I cant wait to do this conversion. I have been looking for a good deal on BMW parts, but they are usually expensive.

I gotta know where you got that and how much did it cost you?

Which year model did you use?

It looks like you kept the 323/ newer pro hood, with the lower grille. How'd you do that. Please email me with all the details or post them here.

ok you cant just show us and not tell us where u goit them. Dont make us pull out the :bsflag: and say photoshop.

funkdaddysmack June-5th-2003 02:14 PM

I'd really like to see a daytime pic to see how the hood and grill seams are.

D323 June-5th-2003 02:17 PM

hello?

Has anyone at all heard from this guy?

I know several of us listed AIM names, ICQ #s or emails. I just wanted to see if he has contaced anyone at all.

If not then we need to pester him more to get the info about that pic.

pollito14 June-5th-2003 09:14 PM

OK OK OK Calm down people. I knew the second I posted this pic people would yell and cry "HOW DID YOU DO THAT?" No it's not photoshop.

These are 97- Mitsubishi Mirage 4 door No they don't bolt right in. You have to do some cutting to the grill and hood. Besides that... nothing to my knowledge. There have been various 1st Gens and 323 that have done this conversion down here. So hope you enjoy this little tidbit.

Sorry but I don't have this car nor do I know the owner to be able to take a pic in daylight. I did have a pic of someone that did this but I lost the pic.
