gtx dropped...radiator fan too big >=[

i dropped in a gtx motor in my 323 and i need to know what radiator fan i should look for that'll bolt up to the stock radiator thats slim enough to fit in my bay?

rkives May-6th-2003 10:04 AM

I used a Hayden Performance slimline Fan. It mounts on the radiator.

cool, did you purchase it off a website? or a local place?

sweetprotege93 May-6th-2003 02:01 PM

krives... where did u mount your IC?

Mik May-6th-2003 04:47 PM

limpgtx:
You can pick them up anywhere. I got mine at Canadian Tire, but Partsource sells them as well. Try your local mass parts store.

Works like a charm

So Rick - you don't have AC and condensor?

rkives May-6th-2003 07:25 PM

No, I don't. Though with my setup, Im sure that the condenser would fit between the intercooler and rad.

If I were in South West Florida, I would have one. Being on the West coast of Canada the sunroof and windows are enough for the 2-3 weeks a year that it is required.:D

Sweet! :bt:

A machinist at a local raceshop did all the piping work as well the Intercooler :D . It was a bit of a package deal. But I think the downpipe cost about $300 CDN

Hey dude, do you have a flexpipe? From your pics it doesn't look like it. With a transveresed engine, you're gonna end up with cracked or broken pipes in no time w/o a flex :(

The "Flex" section is corrigated, so it adds flow restriction. I went for the "graphite doughnut" and spring route. Much better flow:D and still saves the pipes.
