Glass for a 323.....

I'm gonna kick somebody in the glass... my car got vandalized before I could get insurance on it, and no junkyards have a 323. There's one place that has a few 1st gen Protege windshields but they dont know if it will fit on the 323, does anybody know if it can? Also, I need other interior parts, does anybody know where I may be able to find some of them? I need another headliner board and the trim that goes around the doors on the inside along with the rest of the glass.

Blair,
The windshield should fit, I don't have my part sheet with me here but the front end of the 323 is similiar to the 1993-1994 Protege and should house the same glass. It makes no sense to have different sized glass on Mazda's marketed economy model. Try a car glass/tinting company and cross-reference the window part numbers. If they match, peel one off a junker or have one sent to you by Mazda Recycling. The company should offer affordable glass replacement. Car-part.com has a good inventory and searches databases from several junkyards within the area and u can contact junkers to have it sent to you. This is just my opinion but I wouldn't go for more APC/ricer products, they just attract more attention and don't give your 323 any balls. My opinion strictly. I would pay more attention to 1.8 BP Dohc/tranny swap and save for some 12 lbs. Rota Slipstream 15" wheels to give the 323 more umph. Good luck. Search the forum for some more answers.

Oh, as for the dash clock, put in a Valentine 1 remote display or at least a digital tach instead and invest in a MP3 Headunit for time display.

Thanks for the link to car-part.com I actually found some junkyards in the state that have the parts I need. looks like for about $1k I can have my car back as good as new and maybe better. One thing that is on my mind is about the protege, will the headlights/hood/fender/marker lights work on the 323? They look identical. Also, does anybody know where I can get carpet for it?
