will the 2.2 turbo found in the older probes and 626's fit in a 91' protege LX. motor mounts tranny ect. thanks

Yeah not worth your time. the 2.2L swap is a huge money pit, and the gain is only 20hp over the BP swap. not worth it. besides the F2T is an interference engine. a GTX swap is more powerful and cheaper, (no customer parts are needed)

I only ask because i am able to get a 2.2 turbo motor for very cheap right now. what kind of things is going to make this project a money pit. thanks.

Custom engine and tranny mounts, axles etc........
That shit doesn't come cheap.
Grafting the F2T wiring harness to work with the protege chassis harness.
