Dipstick.....
Ok here is the deal.....just bought a 93 Protege (DX I think), now I remember when I was new to The Formula Source which is a outstanding site, now I am here and it seems very similar so please remember I am a hot rod finatic and these little cars trouble me sometimes. Ok I was wondering what the heck is on the dipstick....it has multiple lines and what looks like a 0 and a 8 and a dot. I could just be having a brain fart but I cant tell which is the full line........

The dipstick usally has a yellow painted end. It is the the left of the timing belt cover on the left side of the engine if you are looking at it from the front. Kinda by the left headlight from the same vantage point.

I know where it is at read my 1st post again. I was not certain of what the multiple lines indicate. Sorry for the confusion...
|
There should not be anything connected to the dip stick.

Ok we can all quit playing dumb here I figured it out, the vertical line for the F was not showing up too well so it looked like 2 lines, then the verticle line for the L was not visible so it looked like another line. Anyways the confusion is over. Sorry for the stupid question but look at it from my point of view. It just looked like multiple lines on a dipstick  no more comment...lol

On the dipstick. the L mean low and 0.8 mean 0,8 Litre, i guess that is a pinth. so went it is at L you must add a pinth
