compression (PSI)

I my car just back from the dealer and my compression was good 160psi x4. I was just wondering what exactly is the nominal compression for the SOHC? How much better could my compression be if any. BTW my car only has ~65k miles and its a 91

Spec is 173 psi, mimimum of 121 psi, with a max variation between cylinders of 26 psi. Sounds like you are fine.

It's in my Haynes manual. Just keep looking. I'd give the page number but I don't have it in front of me right now.
