Air intake question
im not sure what to do anymore because my friend which has a suzuki swift gti had this problem (air flow sensor). its all about the cone open filters (KN and stuff). can i put any cone filter or it has to be a special one for our cars? the friend used some normal "universal" KN filter and he had problems with air flow sensor. i hope you understand what i mean

go to ebay..type that in^^^^^.....order it......connect to air flow meter, then to your filter..... YOU MAY USE ANY CONE FILTER----IT REALLY DOESN'T MATTER----BUT IF YOU WANT QUALITY GO WITH K & N..... lAter |

I beg to differ. I've been working with the SHO forum for many years now and we've done extensive dyno testing on the performance gains of K&N filters. On average they actually showed only 1hp difference. The type of filter is nowhere near as important as the condition of the filter. I recommend an autozone generic cone filter (non-oiled). On vehicles equipped with a MAF "hotwire" the oil from a k&n can coat the wire and give inaccurate readings to your ecu. This will actually cause running problems and lack of power.

I have to say THE BEST air intake to get for you protege/323 is a prm pro intake. I bought one and the thing feels like a fucking vacume when you rev it up and put your hand over it. It had to have givin me 20-30% more horse, my god was i surprised. Better than K&N, I have to say, but they are quite pricey, it ran my about 190 off corkport, but well worth it, trust me.
