'88 323 wagon
I'm buying an '88 323 4 door wagon on Friday. Its going to be my daily driver since my Pro5 deserves a rest at 80,000 miles. Any thing I should be aware of about this beast. It just recently had the transmission replaced as well as the brakes redone. Right now all it appears to need is a clutch cable and some TLC. This car might end up being my new toy if I keep it long enough so I'm interested in hearing opinions on engine swaps and things of that nature. I'm a real tool and fabrication oriented guy so I like to hear about mods I can do myself in the garage and if you guys need anything let me know and I'll see if I can make it. Thanks in advance.

first thing performance wise, you should free up the intake and exuast. That should free up some good hp. As far as engine swaps, a direct replacement would be a b6t. For a bit more money and time you could go with a bp-t, bp-det or a kl-ze.
To learn more about your wagon and the bf 323's try mazda323performance.com You can find almost anything on what to do with your car. A couple of guys on that site have some heavily modded 323 wagons. |
Thanks
