1.6 starter equivalent to 1.8?
 

can i use the starter off the 1.6 liter tranny on the 1.8 tranny? please say yes :rolleyes:

Yes, the starter between the 1.6L and 1.8L are interchangable.

I've been searching high and low myself for parts that are interchangeable between the 1.8 and 1.6 for a spare motor build up for my Miata. Fortunately, several parts are directly interchangeable.

that makes me so much happier now, now i just need the axles and shaft!!!
