ZX2 struts, and I'm back
Hey guys,
After a 7 month hiatus due to unemployment and such, I've decided to join this list (instead of the old Yahoo tech list) and start working on the Pro again. There's a new autocross season ahead and it needs some help. I noticed some discussion about the KYB ZX2 struts that fit the Pros. I happen to have the Eibach springs and my old KYBs are shot and the Tokicos are too d**n expensive (still no job). Are they are direct bolt-in, or do they need some modifications? And can anyone point me to the website again, I've lost the link? thanks, and be seeing you around tom -------------------------- '91 Protege LX Eibach, EBC, Schroth, Cusco, AMSOIL, Goodridge, etc. |
Welcome Tom!
BTW, that's the old link, it may not work....here's the new: (Jesse update your bookmarks:D ) here's a tip, all the new links simply need "automediazone" to replace "tintandalarms", thats it. http://www.automediazone.com/pro/ZX2_strut_install.htm that's just the strut page, the whole site is at the link in my signature. oh and the ZX2-R struts are made by Tokico, not KYB :bt: |
Actually, i found out that the tintandalarms site has been paid up till the end of 2002, so it'll still be there, but i will be moving it all over to automediazone...:D

Thanks, guys. That's just what I needed.

Do you guys get these struts just because they are cheaper, or do they perform better than the struts for the protege too?:dunno:

The Tokico ZX2 struts we are talking about are racing struts, they are not the regular OEM struts for the ZX2. They are equivilent to the Tokico Performance Blues, although a bit more dampening, as Jesse mentioned. For the money, you can't beat the performance. I have had mine for about 6 months and i just love em.

right, ok i should have added, that they are the OEM racing struts for the ZX2, not the regular OEM ZX2 struts.
