Sway Bars for 1st Gen

Hello,

The pix for the f+r bars are great and cost effective. Whiteline suspension of Australia manufactures sway bars (anti-roll bars) for the 1st gen.

Might consider to changing your stock bars for good handling.

The Whileline sway bar kit comes with polyurethane bushings.

You can visit www.whiteline.com.au

Inside you can find a US distributor.

If anyone wants to know the part number for the 1st gen sway bar, please let me know.

thanx for the info!
what diameter are the swaybars? and do you know about any other stuff they offer for 1st gens?

this is off-topic but Australia related :)....have you had any experience with www.sure-cam.com offerings for the BP?

thanks and welcome to the board.

They do have a downloadable catalog. :)

And their bars for the 1st gen are 22mm front and 20mm or 22mm rear. Lotta help.:)

Quickor carries the 1" bar for the rear of the 1st gens.

Whiteline Suspensions

Jason,

Whiteline specializes in suspension parts catered for the Aussie market and US market. They have appointed a distributor in the States. Check it out.

Whiteline quoted a set of sway bars for the 1st gen f=22mm & r=19mm.

Regarding sure cam, this company was mentioned by a web-site. It makes cams for the BPT powerplant. Not sure about the US protege though. Is the website of sure cam that you gave the US distributor?

Jason,

Could you load a picture of your 'Mazdaspeedwest's' rear tie bar. I'll like to see it. Or better yet, could take a digital picture of your rear bars.

I'd like to see your setup.

Thanx.

that website is Surecam's aussie site....they have 2 cams for the BP listed in their catalogue - one for a 'street BP' (NA version???), one for a 'race BP Turbo'.
i just wondered if you've used them or know of others who have...

as far as the tie bars look at mazdaspeedwest's site: www.automediazone.com/pro

sorry :( but i have no digital pics of my rear suspension.

Yeah, I saw it. It's an Aussie site. None of my frens even know of an available race cam for the BPT engine, but here's the reply I got from an Aussie.

The cams are set up for for "performance street" or rally type competition work.
I have been in a freinds car who has the cams and I can tell you the thing flies. The idle is "lumpy" compared to stock but its not like it stalls or anything. They are quite mild.
From about 3000-3500 rpm onwards the thing goes
balistic!
