Suspension question

I think I broke a shock while drifting my pro tonight because when I touch it from my trunk the one on the right is kinda lower and in an angle compared to the one on the left.:(

If it's the shock and not only the bracket I was thinking of buying H&R sport springs with KYB shocks (not the ajustables one) for my car but one day I might end up doing a kl-ze conversion and I was wondering if that suspension setup was good enough or if it's a waste of money because I will need the ones from the mx6?

Can I fit an aftermarket mx6 suspension on my protege or do I need to do the 5 lugs conversion???:dunno:

I was wondering the same question, actually... I want to get some GC coilovers w/ tokico zx2 shocks. But I don't want to buy them and then have to get rid of them right away. Let me know what they say!

You can stay 4 lug with the conversion if you use mx-3 rotors.

Does anyone know why you have to change the front suspension in the first place? Is it because the engine is going to be heavier, or what?

you have to change the front suspension because you are changing transmissions, therefore the axles are different, then the rotors are different, etc....thus needing the swap from a MX3/626/MX6

I should check my car on thursday and if it's a shock I'll call or email A-spec and I willl give you guys some news.

A guy from RMR autosport told me that if I use aftermarket shocks/springs made for a protege with the 1.8l and put a 2.5l in it the suspension will sag(sp?) alot faster.

Maybe not on this board, but it's been done in a Protege, MX-3, Tracer LTS, Escort GT and a 323 hatch.
