Soultion to KNocking noise!!

Hey, you prolly all have heard me sayin my Struts/Suspension has been making this knocking noise. Well i was thinking my struts were goin bad, and then tryin to find a good spring and strut setup worrying id pay too much. But today i was taking my alloy rim off to get rdy to clean it nicely. And when i took the front Drivers side wheel off i notice my Stabilizer bar sitting there (DUH) but it wasnt bolted to the (haynes manual calls it) "Control Arm". I was like wtf. So i took the Passenger side wheel off and i seen it has a bolt and like 2-4 Bushings and a(n) "I" Shaped rubber piece. Well it seems that i lost the top 2 bushings, the nut, and the top of the bolt. ITs more like it was cracked and jus broke off or from being old and rusted.

I just got back from AUTOZONE and Advanced AUto.....NEITHER sells anykind of Suspension parts. ONLY STRUTS...hmm odd. I guess its off to a junkyard to try to find a good piece or going to pay redicilus Mazda Dealer Parts.

Ill mostlikly replace both with new parts from the dealer, unless i can find another good par somwhere else.

But Anyways...sry for the long thread. Jus thought u all should take a look at ur Stabilizer bars and Bolts to make sure u dont have this same problem about to happen.
BTW it doenst effect the car and its handling. i jus hear a knocking noise when i hit a bump
no biggie.

In a month or so, the old rubber bushings are coming out for OEM replacements, for a grand total of $40. There are sway bar bushing sets out there and you can pick up nuts and bolts from Depot. It maybe true the front sway bar doesn't really affect the overall handling but I'm sure it helps to keep the car stable and understeer.

i had a 'knocking' noise from the rear - esp when turning & going over a bump....well,found out one of the rear sway bar's frame bushings/brackets was missing.

also, just had the Energy Suspension 3/4" frontendlinks installed; the bolt is a little shorter than stock....but they fit fine.
