www.nopionline.com has a good selection of replacement and performance parts for the Protege. As for wheels, there's tons of websites. Do a search in any search engine and you'll have plenty to look at. For starters, you might want to check out www.wheelmax.com Never bought from them, but they seem to have a good selection for even better prices. Hope this helps you some.:)

yes 1ofdfew, I will be interested, definately once I start this new side job, and start making money off of it.

1ofdfew, just a question, how good are these springs? I need to know if they are pretty good before I purchase them off of you. thanks.

I HAVE TRIED 2 KINDS OF SPRINGS ALL READY WEAPON R COIL OVERS AND I FORGOT WHAT THE OTHER ONE WAS BUT BOTH OF THEM SUCKED IT WAS BOUNCING LIKE CRAZY. all over the place.
so i told my gurl to buy me sprint spring for xmas. so she did once i put them on i was disappointed not bcuz of the ride but bcuz of the ride height it was still too damn high about 2-3" gap from the fender to the tire. so same day i cut the springs and it looked good 1" gap in between the fender and the tires i never had problem with the spring i love it its very comfortable. The only reason y im selling it is cuz i drive to Reno NV almost once in 2 months and thats like 4 hrs drive from where i live i kinda dont want to look at the road if there's a bump i just want to step on the gas and go...coilovers i would be able to adjust it stock height.

if i get me another 323 or pro i prolly eng up not welling this cuz its very comfortable.

awd, springs differ from fwd cars. its going to be a little difficult finding the awd ones. do your search, coil overs is your option.
I can sell u coilovers for $99 plus shipping.

DeaDLy93PRoTeGe April-25th-2003 02:15 PM

what kind of coilovers are they? I want either coilovers or lowering springs....

If the coilovers are nice, and AWD doesn't want them, or reply, then I may be interested....

500 fr/ 400 rr
450/fr-350rr
spring rates available. I sell these, and keep them on hand most of the time. made by Onsaku (sp). black housing, w red double adjusters.
I had then on a gtx, going to put a set on a 91 323 this w/end,
and also have em on my accord wagon (94).
I got lots, enough for everyone.

what condition were the struts in? Sounds to me you had no rebound control left in the struts, thats what causes Bouncing.

Davard April-25th-2003 04:14 PM

The bouncing was likely the result of insane spring rates. Weapon-R uses similar spring rates to those mentioned above. 500lbs or so.

While 500lb springs on a Civic isn't bad (due to the motion ratio, the wheel rate is closer to 150-200lbs), 500lbs on a strut-equipped car is too stiff for anything street driven. Also, no off-the-shelf shock (for the Protege) will adequately control that much spring (although the ZX-2 coil-overs will).

brand new shocks n struts it was my spring rate....i had tokico shocks before too and to tell u the truth if ur looking for comfort keep ur stocks cuz the performance struts are for PERFORMANCE! good for race not street .
