Ractive strut bar question

Well I finally was persuaded to get a ractive strut bar. However I am unsure how to install it. On the left strut tower (from sitting in drivers seat) there is an aluminum pipe (see photo) I assume that the strut bar has to be installed below this, how do I move this pipe? Do I disconnect the pipe? What is the pipe for?

i'm pretty sure, but could be wrong, that, that is your a/c line. i don't think that you should need to move it all, but i could be wrong.
good luck, tell me how it goes because i might a strut bar too

You don't have to disconnect it. I myself just lifted it up a bit and the strut bar fit perfectly. Give that a try before you remove it.

Link does not work. People often have problems posting from GeoCities. Try this link for an easy solution to posting a pic on this forum:D :

Hey thanks for all the help...I found a picture of an installed ractive strut bar and after thinking about it a bit i decided I did actually have it on correctly. For those wondering, after a bit of filing, i finally got the bar installed. It does make a notable difference...Thanks for all the help!

So can somebody post a pic of how to the Ractive strut bar looks like. I'm interested in getting one soon, but a pic would help, not to mention how it's suppose to look like when i try and install it myself. Thnx.

mine fits just fine, you gotta sorta hit the mounting plates with a rubber mallet to get them on the strut towers, but mine fits on perfect now.
