Lowering HELP!!

i am in a postion with an idependent retailer to get myself any suspension setup i want...and i need help from you guys!!!
I am looking into APEX lowering springs (1.5" drop), B&G (1.7" drop) and RACTIVE COILOVERS (0-3" drop) . Are these good brands? ANd i am running on 17" 205/40 +40 offset rims and i had ppl in the car today and it was slammed out, rubbing on bumps in the fenders..do i need a stiffer spring/strut???
need this help quick!!
thanks

Yea, B&G is a good name. There is also Eibach pro kit which I have (1.5")... How many people did you have in your car?

i had two 100 pounder chicks in the back, and a 150 lb buddy in the front, plus me (174 lbs)
and i have a kicker 10L7 in the back in a pretty big box

what suspension should i setup to have a slammed protege that wont rub at all on the fenders,
dont forget i'm rubbin 205/40/17!

they will last about as long as a stock strut, maybe a little longer. But they aren't valved for a stiffer lowering spring.
