Brake Pads
I'm going to be replacing the brakes as soon as I can. I was wondering if there were any recommendations on what brand to go with. I can't spend much money, plus I'm not looking for high performance. Just simply for a daily driver. I was thinking finding new pads for the front, and just going with autozone brand for the back drums.
Right now I'm comparing the Axxis Original Deluxe, Metal Masters, and Rotex Gold. Has anybody had any experience with any of these? Do any of them squeel or dust a lot? Thanks for any input. |
I am not too familiar with any of the brands, but whatever metallic brake pads you get, you are guaranteed to have less brake dust and a lot less noise. But they are slightly more expensive then OEM pads, so it up to you.

yah i was gonna say raybestos too, their pretty much the cheap ones automotive stores carry. their about $35, but the carbonfiber ones at corksport.com are only about $15 more.

I got some KVR carbon fibres a few weeks ago. THey ain;t bad so far, but kinda pricey 85$ Canadian. I'm not sure what that'd be in USD.

That's weird, when I had my Pro, they wouldn't even give me an option. I always got metallic pads. I read somewhere that the OEM or organic pads didn't have good stopping power on the 1st Gen. Eh, I dunno, I could be just rambling nonesense here...
