Tranny rebuild experience

I need to decide whether to rebuild or replace the 5 speed in my 91 ProDX.

Do any of y'all have any experience or advice to share. In particular with respect to where to find the special tools for re-assembly....or how to re-assemble without the special tools.

The next question is, do any of y'all have anyone you'd recommend who could sell me a low milage (NO BS) transmission at a reasonable price. The flip side to that question also....anyone you wouldn't recommend ??

My problem is that in the winter when the car is cold, the tranny makes a "rattle'ing" noise when at idle in neutral which disappears when I depress the clutch. It also goes away after the car gets to normal operating temperature. This "rattling" noise doesn't happen in the summer when it's warm. I've already replaced the throw out bearing, but that had no effect on the problem.. Any thoughts ??

PS: It's got 160 kmi on it and it's also being to whine while cruising in 5th.

Thanks
