I have
-Spark -fuel -fuel pressure (line from regulator to that little unit is broken, but should still have fuel regardless) -timming is bang on -all connections (one broken temp connection) I am stuck and at wits end.... this car is way behind how long this should take..... and I did the whole swap in about a day..... but now its been weeks and it wont start?? any one? ideas? do you know? the car is a 1st gen..... i got the motor out of a 94 manual... I am automatic Peace, TRD Terror |
Simple stuff, but
Is the computer plugged in? :) I'd say it, but I'm sure the fuel pump is plugged in if you have pressure, hehe. |
LOL

Well, sometimes it's the simple stuff, just wanted to make sure ;)
If you want to check anyways, it's behind the console, under the radio, there is a piece of trim hiding it, I think you can pull up the passenger's carpet a little bit too. When you say it turns but it won't start, maybe the starter is going but not fast enough .. ? Could the battery be low? Sorry, that's all I can think of :dunno: |
If you know you got fuel and spark. It should start. Double check to see if you are getting fuel sprayed into the cylinder as well as spark. Either one of these could be computer or a timing peg behind the flywheel.

fuel lines backward?

That will make all the difference right there. I did not chainge the tranny.... its still an automatic ..... Peace, TRD Terror |

If you have gas on the plugs, are they fouled? May want to put some new ones in it or something. I also knocked the coil wire off on accident before.

What I need is a good pic of some ones bp01 that shows where they have the wires go in what order.... I am almost sure that that Haynes manual is crap and have the wrong order listed... That was it? Oh no. :) I suggest, that if you ever want to get intimate and dirty too much, you search for a factory service manual by MAZDA on ebay -- I got mine for $35ish, I was very lucky to find it right as it was listed

no kidden eh!
Just imgaine.... my friend and I did an entire swap and automatic swap from one motor to another..... and got it all back together and in...... with a HAYNES manual...... it was quite the piss off reading that crap they write..... and half the time just figuring it out on our own..... not to mention this was in his home garage..
Also...... did you know that a BP01 from an Automatic, and a BP01 from a manual have different oil pans?? ...... we found that out half way though..... bastards... lol Peace, TRD Terror |
