Smelly Green Problem
Hey all, here's my problem.
I'm driving down the road (not driving TOO hard) and I stop at a stop light and suddenly theres steamy stuff coming from under the hood. I thought oh crap. I could smell it in the air, it was antifreeze (the bright green stuff, right?). I checked the temp gauge and it was normal. So later I looked at it and there was a little bit of antifreeze squirted around, not very much. I refilled the AF and checked the oil (replaced some oil too) and the problem seemed gone for the next week or so. It's happening again now. I've noticed that it doesn't effect the performance or anything, so i just drive it. It doesn't always steam, but I can usually smell it every time i get out of the car. I don't know what to do. It looks like it's squirting out from the chromish knob at the top of the radiator (?? The big cooling grille thing behind the grille grille....)....Obviously I'm not a mechanic, but Any advice would be really helpful... THANK YOU!
