Question about o2 sensor/diag code ?

hey guys what's up?

My check engine light came on today...

I plugged a jumper in the diagnostic connector and anyway you know how it is working...........................

The code i got is 15 (Oxygen sensor) according to Haynes Manual.

Now is it because my Oxygen Sensor is completly dead and i should change it or I just don't care and laugh at the check light when it come on ??

Also if i have to change it, how much it will cost and how hard is it to change without the proper tools..... ?

thanks!

yes, most likely it's dead or not far from it. It's VERY easy to change, the hardest part is wrenching it in and out. Cut the wire to the old one, right at the base of the O2, so it's still long enough to work with, then connect the new O2 to that wire and screw it in. Done.

$23 at Autozone (Bosch)

OMG !!!! I did 3 stores to get a o2 sensor.....

man!! what is the fuck with those stores?!?!

for those who know the stores here in Quebec,Canada:
Canadian Tire: 40$ CAN
NAPA Auto Parts: 80$ CAN
Auto Parts Plus: 325$ CAN !!!!!

damn!! and they don't even have them in stock lol
The one for 80$ is providing the sensor plus the wire up to the connector, it's maybe what I will buy but 80$ hmmmmm Maybe i will wait until the sensor completly die... since the check engine light is sometimes ON from 1994 when my mother bought the car.
The mechanic said to her that the light come on sometimes because a wire................... well....... wich wire? that's from 1994 lol

but anyway the check light code is that sensor so it must be that sensor the problem.....

bahhhh enough said, I'll keep the car like it is until the sensor blow off lol Don't play with the engine until something is broken huh? ;)

Thanks guys

it's just a single wire O2, and the bosch comes with a 12" length of wire and a crimp connector. All you do is cut and splice that one wire. You don't need the one that has the connector.

oh and $23 was USD
