pressure plate for 1st gen

I was wondering if knew knew if ACT or centerforce makes an uprated pressure plate for the 1st gens? ...specifically a '92 16-valve SOHC? if not the sohc, do they for the dohc?

I'm putting on some new stuff, and hp will prolly be around ~150 afterwards. Already, the clutch starts to slip after a short time of running the car hard. More horses? Yeah, it's going to slip pretty bad when it -does- start to slip. :shift:
Me no like.

The guy I spoke to from mazda motorsports said that he couldn't find anything from ACT for the 1st gens in the catalogue. I forgot what he said about centerforce... Also, the same guy said to goto a dealership and ask to see if the pressure plate from the sohc 1.8 2nd gens can mate with the 1st gen flywheel. Anyone know if this is possible? Want to know before I go to the dealer.

Thanks for the input, dudes. :bt:

Looks like ACT does carry them. A bit spendy, though...

The plate itself is MZ021 at $238,
and the kit is ZP1-HD00 at $328.

Might as well just get the kit for the extra ninety dollars. :P
Mind you, this is for the sohc.

Though, thinking about it, the faq says that the Fseries tranny came with the sohc engines, does this include the 16-valve sohc?
I'm assuming "yes," but I want to make sure.

Well, at least I know where to get a good clutch. Although, at that price, I may decide to stick with the stock equip for a while. I do need to get my flywheel resurfaced. I should have done it before I stuck the new engine in, but I forgot.
I may send it to get lightened and balanced while it's out. *shrug* Dunno.
