Poor idling...

I was sitting at a light today, when some jerkoff in an old v6 camaro starts revving his engine like he wants to play. I gave the engine a couple good revs, and when the light turns green, wuss-boy turns off. A minute later I got to where I was going, and noticed that the car is idling between 400-900 rpms. It will go up then down and when it's idling steady at whatever rpm, it's rough. Any ideas????

My intake was cracked and taped up, so I replaced it this afternoon with a new one($68) and it did not help at all. I'm wondering if I might have floated some valves and bent them??

umm, i had the same prob. about a month ago, but my check engine light was on at the same time, is yours? i took it to my mechanic and it cost me lik 400 bucks, it was my o2 sensor was fuxor'd and some other ones, and my air flow meter was shot. so id check into that stuff.
