bad tranny

nah i haven't ever really dropped the clutch. and i know the clutch isn't bad. when i got the second tranny or the current broken tranny in, it had the same problem as the old. it won't go into reverse too easily. and now i can put it into gear in reverse, but its just revs and won't move and sounds like metal or something flappin around. still goes forward but now those gears won't go in that easy. i haven't driven it in about 3 months. its just sittin there busted. what you think man?

i know on some cars they have a plastic guide that "assist" it into gear im not sure about our pros....but my friend had a similar problem and he replaced the plastic guide that had broke and was preventing him from going into first and reverse, i think it was like $3.00 and he installed it pretty easily...im not sure if this is your answer...but you might want to look into it

so where do i check out this "assist" thing. and did your friend have trouble after this fix?

I think it is actaully under your shifter to where it connects down below...I am not sure exactly how to get to it, and he had a toyota so it might be different, you might have to pull the shifter skirt to see if you can get to it...and after he fixed it he hasent had a problem since...it happens from speed shifting if you catch the corners of that plastic piece it fucks it up...I would get a second opinion I dont want anything getting further messed up by my count....goodluck
