Mazda 323 gtx 1.6 turbo rods?

HI

Does Mazda 323 1.6 gtx Turbo rods fit into a first gen 1.8 ptotege?
If yes, than are those 1.6 turbo rods stronger than stock 1.8 rods?

Thanx any replies!

They don't make those rods anymore. The 1.6l Miata rods are the replacement.
I read something on the "other" board that they might fit. I'll try to find it and post a link.

No use changing them your stock ones will hold up to 400 hp

Since it was a Miata with 400WHP expect ~450 or so at the flywheel.
However if the engine's got high miles you might want new oe rods though.
