finally found where i put the password for obeytheflag. to everyone i was temporaily protege9485. my MAF box is ok, got a friend to look at it who is a mechanic (i fixed it myself, last resort just opened it up and put back pieces together and hope for the best) mannow i got this intake sitting in my room..just DYING to put it in. scared now man, just saw how much it will cost to fix if i have another problem. another thing i realized, (if i decide to put in the intake) i have to take em out for a smog check. im scared like taking em in and out might mess this MAF again. well anyboyd just give me your opinion. (don't call me a wuss, ain't got that much money being a teenager)

 

it depends on who you take it to whether or not they'll bother with making you take the intake out. if they just wanna pass you and take your $$, they won't even bother you about it. the place i went made me take mine out. the bastards charged me and THEN told me they couldn't give me the certificate until i installed the stock intake; otherwise i would have taken it somewhere else. besides, even if you do have to put the stock filter on for a smog check, you only have to deal with a smog test every 2 years anyways.
